[1.0.1] Player Manager for Reviactyl

Player Manager

Manage the people on your Minecraft server without opening the console. See who is online, ban, kick, grant admin, change game modes and handle the whitelist — all from a proper interface.

What it does

See who is connected. A live list with each player's skin head, refreshed automatically. No more typing list and reading the console output.

Moderate with one click. Kick or ban anyone, with an optional reason. The ban list is right there too, so lifting a ban is one button instead of remembering the exact spelling of a username.

Grant and remove admin. Op and de-op from the same list, and a separate tab showing everyone who currently has it.

Change game modes. Survival, creative, adventure or spectator, per player, from a dropdown.

Manage the whitelist. Turn it on or off, add and remove players, and see who is on it.

Broadcast messages. Send something every connected player will see, without switching to the console tab.

Java and Bedrock

Both are supported. The extension reads the reply your server gives to the list command, and every software words it differently — Vanilla, Paper, Forge and Bedrock all have their own format. All four are recognised.

Ban reasons and dates are read straight from banned-players.json on Java. On Bedrock, where that file does not exist, it falls back to asking the console.

Why your users will like it

Moderating through the console means knowing the exact command, the exact syntax and the exact username. One typo and you have banned the wrong person, or nothing happened and you do not know why.

This turns it into pointing at a name and pressing a button. The player's skin is right there, so you can see who you are about to ban.

For hosting providers it also means fewer people asking how to op themselves.

Fifteen languages

English, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, Arabic, Bengali, Hindi, Indonesian, Kannada, Swedish, Turkish and Vietnamese.

It follows the panel language automatically, falling back to English for any key that is missing rather than showing a blank.

Details worth knowing

The server has to be running for the online list, since the information comes from the server itself. When it is off, the extension says so calmly instead of showing an error — and the ban list still works, because it is read from the file.

Names and reasons are validated server side before they go anywhere near the console. Without that, someone could slip in a newline and run any command they liked.

Bedrock names with spaces get split when the reply is parsed. It is a limitation of reading console output, and there is no way around it short of running RCON separately.

Requirements

  • Reviactyl canary
  • The control.console permission (subusers without it do not see the tab)
  • The server running, for anything that needs the live player list

Install

php artisan extensions:install player-manager.rext
php artisan extensions:enable player-manager
php artisan optimize:clear

A Players entry appears in the server sidebar.
